Basketball Recap: Immanuel Eagles vs. Sierra Pacific Golden Bears        
        
		
            
 The Immanuel Eagles have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell  55-45 to Sierra Pacific on Wednesday. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Immanuel in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now lost seven in a row.
 Sierra Pacific's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Nyang Ayuen led the charge by  scoring 14 points.  Apajok Ayuen was another key contributor,  scoring 14 points.
 Immanuel's defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 17-9. As for Sierra Pacific, the  win was  the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-11.
 Immanuel will head out on the road to  take on  the Cavaliers at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Central Valley Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 888th, while the Eagles are ranked 425th). As for Sierra Pacific, they will be playing at home against the Pirates at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Reedley is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
