Softball Recap: Pope Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Pope was riding high fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Sequoyah on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greyhounds took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lambert Longhorns on Saturday. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Pope's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Lambert, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, Pope and Lambert will both be playing Milton the next time they take the field. The Longhorns will head out to face the Eagles at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, while the Greyhounds will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
