Newell-Fonda barely beat Le Mars the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs blew past the Bulldogs 9-1 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Newell-Fonda and bumps their season record up to 17-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Le Mars, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-6.

Newell-Fonda wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Spencer on the 28th. As for Le Mars, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 defeat against Storm Lake on the 28th.
