Soccer Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troup County Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Their goal came courtesy of Orlando Ruiz-Perez, who's now up to seven this season.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Troup County, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4.

Central has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Harris County on the 4th. As for Troup County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against Northside on the 4th.
