Softball Recap: BCLUW's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

After a string of seven wins, BCLUW's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Butler Bearcats. The game marked the first time this season in which the Comets were not able to get on the board.

BCLUW's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for North Butler, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. BCLUW will welcome Clarksville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Butler, they will host Newman Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 0.9 runs per game this season, so the Bearcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
