Basketball Preview: Dublin Gaels vs. Dougherty Valley Wildcats
Dublin is 8-2 against the Wildcats since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Dublin Gaels will be playing at home against the Dougherty Valley Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Dublin and three for the Wildcats.
Last Tuesday, Dublin was the victim of a rough 59-34 loss at the hands of the Grizzlies. While losing is never fun, Dublin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 41st).
Meanwhile, Dougherty Valley lost to the Falcons at home by a decisive 57-38 margin on Tuesday.
Dublin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for Dougherty Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.
