Hickman got themselves on the board against Camdenton on Wednesday, but Camdenton never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Lakers. The win continues a trend for the Kewpies in their matchups with the Lakers: they've now won five in a row.

The result came thanks to Tess Moloney's shutout, as she gave up just five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Hanson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Mia Holt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Hickman's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Camdenton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Hickman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Camdenton, they will square off against Smith-Cotton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
