Basketball Game Preview: Folsom Bulldogs vs. Inderkum Tigers

The Folsom Bulldogs will square off against the Inderkum Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Folsom knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Inderkum likes a good challenge.

Folsom is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Edison 84-31. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 27 points or more this season.

Monterey Trail typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Inderkum proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 47-33 win over the Mustangs. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

Folsom better keep an eye on Jamiah Fontenberry. She was instrumental in Inderkum's win, putting up 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydnee Scarborough, who posted ten points.

Inderkum's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points over those games. As for Folsom, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Folsom against Inderkum when the teams last played back in February of 2022, as the squad secured an 81-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Folsom since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
