Beckman came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Monticello Panthers a 2-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-1 on Tuesday.

Beckman pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Monticello, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beckman will head out to face off against Cascade at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Trailblazers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Monticello, they will venture away from home to take on Midland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
