Softball Recap: Patrick Henry Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Patrick Henry's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Helix Scotties 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Angelina Mazon was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sivan Benami, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Patrick Henry kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Patrick Henry's record now sits at 9-12-1. As for Helix, the defeat snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 18-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Patrick Henry will challenge Cathedral Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Helix, they will face off against Monte Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Monarchs will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
