Softball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Corydon Central

Corydon Central won the last time they faced Austin and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Rease Jones was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Reese Withers also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Corydon Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive games.

Corydon Central's record is now 12-9. As for Austin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corydon Central will face off against Springs Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Austin, they will square off against New Albany at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
