Softball Recap: Pueblo Centennial Takes a Loss

After flying high against Canon City last Saturday, Pueblo Centennial came back down to earth. The Bulldogs lost 13-3 to the Elizabeth Cardinals on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in August.

Pueblo Centennial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrianna Lopez, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Pueblo Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Elizabeth, the win (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Coming up, Pueblo Centennial will square off against Palisade at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Pueblo Centennial is facing Palisade at the right time seeing as Palisade is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Elizabeth, they will take on Widefield in a tournament on Saturday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gladiators have averaged an impressive 11.5 runs per game this season.
