Basketball Recap: Fortune Early College Skates Past Elite with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Fortune Early College on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Elite Eagles out of the water with a 51-12 final score. With the Panthers ahead 40-5 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Fortune Early College got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Heaven Graves out in front who posted 13 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Omiia Stearne, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.

Fortune Early College was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elite only posted three assists.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malaysia Green, who earned three points and four steals. Those three points gave Green a new career-high.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Elite, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
