Basketball Recap: Animo Bunche Takes a Loss

Animo Bunche lost against Annenberg back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Animo Bunche Stallions were dealt a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Annenberg Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 933rd, while the Panthers are ranked 217th).

Animo Bunche has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Annenberg, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Animo Bunche will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Central City Value at 2:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Central City Value's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Animo Bunche's offense will have their work cut out for them. Annenberg also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Downtown Magnets at 2:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
