Recap: Waterford Wildcats vs. Calaveras Red Hawks
The Waterford Wildcats's 20-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They had to suffer through a rough 61-19 loss at the hands of Calaveras. Waterford was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.
Ginger Scheidt was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven steals and five rebounds for Calaveras. That makes it three consecutive games in which Scheidt has scored at least 25% of Calaveras' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Clark, who scored seven points along with ten steals and seven rebounds.
Waterford has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Calaveras, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Waterford's road trip will continue as they head out to face Summerville at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Calaveras will be home for the holidays to greet Stagg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
