Recap: Charter Oak Chargers vs. Don Lugo Conquistadores
After flying high against the Workman Lobos last Friday, the Charter Oak Chargers came back down to earth. Charter Oak fell 53-41 to Don Lugo on Tuesday. Charter Oak was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Don Lugo apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Don Lugo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sarah Magadan, who scored 23 points along with 4 steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Magadan has scored at least 25% of Don Lugo's points. Another player making a difference was Issabela Medina, who scored 8 points along with 13 rebounds.
Charter Oak has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Don Lugo, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Charter Oak will be playing in front of their home fans against Pomona at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Don Lugo, they will head out on the road to face off against Azusa at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Azusa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
