Football Recap: West Franklin Comes Up Short

West Franklin fell victim to Osage City and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Indians 74-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 74-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Kasen Parsons continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Osage City, throwing for 184 yards and four TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 49 yards and one score. What's more, Parsons racked up 165.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Tate Smith was in the mix as well, providing Osage City with two touchdowns.

West Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Osage City, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, West Franklin will take on Central Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Osage City, they will venture away from home to square off against Council Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Indians 11.8, the Braves 10) so any points scored will be well earned.
