It's playoff time, and Lowell had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Castilleja Gators by a score of 39-31 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Castilleja lost, don't look at Antonia Vlahos. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds.

Lowell pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Castilleja, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-4.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lowell Cardinals duke it out with Half Moon Bay Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Half Moon Bay will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lowell surely won't give up without a fight. Castilleja does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
