Ponderosa waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Brighton Bulldogs as they made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Mustangs have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Annabelle Horan spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Avery Britt was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Makayla Odette, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Ponderosa hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brighton struck out nine times.

Ponderosa has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Brighton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Ponderosa is on the road again on Friday to play Holy Family at 3:15 p.m. As for Brighton, they will take on Mullen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
