Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Malvern Prep). They claimed a resounding 42-13 win over the Germantown Academy Patriots. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Friars' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Patriots are ranked 160th).

Malvern Prep pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.8 points on average this season. As for Germantown Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coincidentally, Malvern Prep and Germantown Academy will both be playing Haverford School the next time they take the field. The Friars will host the Fords at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Patriots will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on the 25th.
