Soccer Game Preview: Nipomo vs. Templeton

The Nipomo Titans are taking a road trip to take on the Templeton Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nipomo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 13 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Nipomo came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Santa Ynez, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Nipomo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 835th, while Santa Ynez are ranked 188th).

Meanwhile, Templeton hasn't lost a match since December 13, 2025, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Cabrillo a 1-0 shutout. Templeton's winning goal came courtesy of Reagan Leavitt.

Templeton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-6 record this season. As for Nipomo, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1.
