Soccer Game Preview: East Jackson vs. Stephens County

The East Jackson Eagles will head out to challenge the Stephens County Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Jackson is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for East Jackson's offense. They came up short against Hebron Christian on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, East Jackson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 356th, while Hebron Christian are ranked 29th).

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous 11 contests, Stephens County brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They put the hurt on Prince Avenue Christian with a sharp 6-3 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Stephens County's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Stephens County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for East Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

East Jackson beat Stephens County 2-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2022. Does East Jackson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stephens County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
