Basketball Recap: Burroughs Skates Past La Serna with Ease

Burroughs picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the La Serna Lancers 62-30. The Burros have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Burroughs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zykeriah Mcfadden, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Mcfadden has become a key player for Burroughs: the team is 6-3 when she posts at least ten boards, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Dyer, who posted ten points along with seven assists and five steals.

Burroughs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 12 consecutive matchups.

Burroughs' victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for La Serna, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.

Burroughs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-29 defeat against Glendora on the 30th. As for La Serna, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-33 loss against Bishop Amat on the 30th.
