Soccer Recap: San Gabriel Takes a Loss

San Gabriel lost against Bell Gardens back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The San Gabriel Matadors fell just short of the Bell Gardens Lancers by a score of 2-1. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Matadors couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Niyah Davis, who's now up to 19 this season.

San Gabriel's loss dropped their record down to 10-4-2. As for Bell Gardens, their win bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

San Gabriel will square off against Mark Keppel at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mark Keppel will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something San Gabriel surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bell Gardens, they will take on Montebello at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bell Gardens is facing Montebello at the right time seeing as Montebello is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
