DeKalb is 7-1 against Sterling since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Barbs will venture away from home to face off against the Golden Warriors at 6:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

DeKalb came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to Neuqua Valley. DeKalb haven't had much luck with Neuqua Valley recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Sterling came up short against Alleman on Tuesday, falling 7-2.

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for DeKalb, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1.

DeKalb beat Sterling 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Barbs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
