Baseball Recap: Lanier Takes a Loss

Lanier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to the Leake Central Gators.

Lanier's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Leake Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

Coming up, Lanier will head out to square off against Port Gibson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Waves have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season. As for Leake Central, they will be playing at home against Choctaw Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
