Softball Recap: Ponca Takes a Loss

Ponca's last matchup with Boone Central could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Indians lost 14-6 to the Cardinals. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly eight runs.

Lyndsee Waldee made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Kastning, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ponca has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Boone Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Ponca didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-0 loss against Pierce on the 27th. As for Boone Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on the 27th.
