Baseball Game Preview: Cresskill Cougars vs. Ramsey Rams

The Cresskill Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Ramsey Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cresskill is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Park Ridge just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 12-4 to the Owls.

Pascack Valley hit Ramsey with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams fell 6-2 to the Indians. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

Patrick Connell made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Ramsey's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Cresskill, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14-1.

Cresskill came out on top in a nail-biter against Ramsey when the teams last played back in May of 2019, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
