Basketball Game Preview: St. Francis Troubadours vs. Folsom Bulldogs

The St. Francis Troubadours will venture away from home to challenge the Folsom Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Saturday, St. Francis ended up a good deal behind Christian Brothers and lost 62-47. The Troubadours have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The losing side was boosted by Laila Mendoza, who went 6 for 10 en route to 17 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi London, who posted eight points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Folsom unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Francis Parker 55-51. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

St. Francis now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Folsom, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3.

St. Francis came up short against Folsom when the teams last played back in December of 2019, falling 57-47. Can St. Francis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
