Softball Recap: West Marshall Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

West Marshall got themselves on the board against Des Moines East on Saturday, but Des Moines East never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Scarlets. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

West Marshall's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Des Moines East, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

West Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-0 defeat against Interstate 35 on the 14th. As for Des Moines East, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-1 loss against Fort Dodge on the 16th.
