Football Recap: Boiling Springs Takes a Loss

Boiling Springs had lost eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it nine. They were beaten by the Halifax Wildcats 52-20. The Bubblers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Halifax, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cohen Bechtel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 188 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 36 receiving yards. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August.

Boiling Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Halifax, they will challenge Lancaster Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
