Softball Recap: Linn's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Linn waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Harrisburg Bulldogs by a score of 7-2. Seven seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Sophia Voss made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since September 4th.

In other batting news, Paige Senevey was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 14 games. Elli Dudenhoeffer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Linn's record is now 19-4. As for Harrisburg, they dropped their record down to 6-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Linn will square off against Iberia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harrisburg, they will face off against New Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
