Baseball Recap: Tucker Tigers vs. North Springs Spartans
Tucker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-5 to the North Springs Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 last Thursday.
Jordan Fambro and Harrison Morledge did some serious damage despite the final result: Fambro scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Morledge got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. Blake Samuda also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Tucker's defeat dropped their record down to 8-21. As for North Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 10-17.
Tucker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Marist at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The War Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
