Recap: Paraclete Spirits vs. Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets
The Paraclete Spirits lost against the Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The game between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Paraclete falling 50-33. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Xitlali Botts, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 steals for Sacred Heart of Jesus. Botts hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Michelle Canete, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Paraclete's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-11. As for Sacred Heart of Jesus, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season.
Paraclete will head out on the road to square off against Ramona Convent at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ramona Convent will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive. Sacred Heart of Jesus will take on San Gabriel Mission at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Gabriel Mission comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
