Basketball Recap: Westminster Comes Up Short

Westminster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 52-29 to the Valencia Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 875th, while the Tigers are ranked 192nd).

Westminster's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Valencia, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Westminster and El Modena will round out the year against one another at on December 30th. As for Valencia, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-24 victory against Newport Harbor on the 23rd.
