Football Recap: Silsbee Tigers vs. Tarkington Longhorns
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Silsbee). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 63-6 win over the Tarkington Longhorns. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Longhorns are ranked 1021st).

Leading Silsbee to victory were Jacaleb Johnson and Corde Wilson. Johnson threw for 138 yards and three TDs on perfect 6-for-6 passing, while Wilson rushed for 51 yards and a pair of scores. Those three passing touchdowns gave Johnson a new career-high.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Silsbee's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jake Smith and Matsyn Morris, who racked up five sacks between them.
