Edison is 2-8 against Bullard since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Edison Tigers will be playing at home against the Bullard Knights at 6:30 p.m. Edison will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Edison suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 64-31 defeat at the hands of Sanger. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Edison in their matchups with Sanger: they've now lost seven in a row.
Edison's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Paige Hamilton, who scored 15 points along with two blocks, and Aireanna Jennings who scored seven points along with two steals.
Bullard aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Wednesday extended their overall winning streak to three. They strolled past Madera with points to spare, taking the game 60-41. Given Bullard's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Madera is ranked 402nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Edison has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Bullard, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Edison came up short against Bullard in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 47-43. Can Edison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
