Ferndale picks up fifth straight win on the road

Recap: Ferndale Wildcats vs. South Fork Cubs

In what's become a running theme this season, the Ferndale Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past South Fork 49-26. Winning may never get old, but Ferndale sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Ferndale found their leader in underclassman Tinnley Pidgeon, who scored 20 points. Pidgeon is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michaela Ellsmore, who scored 11 points.

Ferndale's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for South Fork, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ferndale will take on St. Bernard's at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Fork, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hoopa Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
