Baseball Recap: Bryan County Takes a Loss

Bryan County lost against Islands back in February of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Redskins took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sharks.

Cooper Ennis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Bryan County is 4-2 when Ennis posts two or more runs, but 9-11 otherwise. AJ Thomas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Bryan County dropped their record down to 13-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Islands, they moved to 10-16 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Bryan County will welcome Savannah Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Islands, they will challenge Jenkins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Sharks surely won't give up without a fight.
