Baseball Recap: Sullivan Gets the Win

Sullivan won the last time they faced Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] and things went their way on Saturday too. The Redskins had just enough and edged out the Titans 4-3.

Sullivan's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Crowe, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. Another was Cooper Christensen, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Sullivan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Sullivan will take on Meridian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Hawks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Heritage at 4:30 p.m. The Titans are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
