Granite Hills' win ends three-game losing streak on the road

The Granite Hills Cougars had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Barstow out 47-44. Granite Hills' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Granite Hills found their leader in underclassman Bryanna Lynem, who scored 29 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Rollins, who scored six points.

Granite Hills' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for Barstow, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granite Hills will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Silverado at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. Silverado will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Barstow, they will head out on the road to square off against Adelanto at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adelanto presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Barstow in California (Adelanto is ranked 458th, while Barstow is ranked 942nd).
