Basketball Recap: Rosemont Comes Up Short

Rosemont lost against Argonaut back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rosemont Wolverines took a 61-47 bruising from the Argonaut Mustangs. The Wolverines' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Argonaut's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alayna Critchfield, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds. Critchfield is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Brynn Begovich was another key player, putting up 17 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.

Rosemont's record is now 11-16. As for Argonaut, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosemont will square off against Bradshaw Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rosemont is facing Bradshaw Christian at the right time seeing as Bradshaw Christian is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Argonaut, they will challenge Amador at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
