Preview: Windsor Jaguars vs. Healdsburg Greyhounds
Windsor has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Healdsburg Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Windsor scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Piner 65-37 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Windsor has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Healdsburg had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Rancho Cotate 59-40. Given Healdsburg's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while Rancho Cotate is ranked 575th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Windsor's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Healdsburg, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.
Windsor came up short against Healdsburg in their previous meeting back in February, falling 34-30. Can Windsor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
