Soccer Game Preview: Animo South Los Angeles vs. Sotomayor

The Animo South Los Angeles Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Sotomayor Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Animo South Los Angeles is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let George Washington Prep onto the board and left with a 4-0 win on Monday. The score was close at the half, but the Panthers pulled away in the second half with three goals.

They hit George Washington Prep with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Heidy Avila (2), Marlin Gonzalez, and Flordeli Cano.

Meanwhile, Sotomayor can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Alliance Ted K. Tajima, sneaking past 1-0.

Animo South Los Angeles now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sotomayor, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
