Tift County waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Lowndes Vikings get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-2 on Tuesday.

Not much got past Lily Robinson, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Lowndes off the board. Robinson has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Morgan Brey was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one RBI. Those stolen bases were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Stella Bryant, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Tift County's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lowndes, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Tift County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair will be back at it again later today.
