Basketball Recap: Sunnyside Snaps 11-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Sunnyside had lost four straight headed into Monday's game, but Ruby Cartwright didn't let it get to five. The Sunnyside Wildcats secured a 53-47 W over the Porterville Panthers on Monday thanks in part to Cartwright, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 14 boards. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Sunnyside's points.

Sunnyside's victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10. As for Porterville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
