Football Recap: Turpin Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Turpin was riding high fresh off their 49-14 takedown of West Clermont last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans took a blow against the Anderson Raptors on Friday, falling 58-16. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Raptors recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Owen Scalf continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Anderson, throwing for 313 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 54 yards and one score. A healthy portion of Scalf's aerial production (87 yards to be exact) went to Tysin Weaver, who also brought in three receiving touchdowns.

Turpin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Anderson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Turpin has already played their next game, a 41-38 loss against Lebanon on the 10th. As for Anderson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 53-16 win against Walnut Hills on the 10th.
