Marana is a perfect 7-0 against Sunnyside since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will head out to face off against the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Marana came up short against Rincon/University and fell 3-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Sunnyside had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Tucson High Magnet School on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Devils have posted since March 28th.

Sunnyside's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 10-15. As for Marana, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

Marana took their victory against Sunnyside in their previous meeting on Friday by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
