Softball Recap: Roland-Story Takes a Loss

Roland-Story was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-5 to the Benton Bobcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Norsemen have suffered since July 11, 2024.

Roland-Story saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Jeter, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Another was Kate Berggren, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Roland-Story's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Benton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roland-Story will welcome Pella at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Benton, they will challenge South Hamilton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
