Basketball Recap: Alpaugh's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Alpaugh hadn't done well against Tranquillity recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Alpaugh Buffalos narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tranquillity Tigers 39-36. This was a revenge game for the Buffalos: when they faced off against the Tigers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 47-40 loss.

Alpaugh was led to victory by Alexa Sixtos and Carolina Arrieta. Sixtos posted 17 points and six rebounds, while Arrieta put up 18 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Sixtos a new career-high in points.

Alpaugh was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Alpaugh's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. As for Tranquillity, they dropped their record down to 4-19 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Alpaugh will face off against Kings Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Tranquillity, they will challenge Firebaugh at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Firebaugh's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Tranquillity's offense will have their work cut out for them.
